Welcome, Admitted Students!

A Message from Your Program Director

Welcome from your program director

We are excited to have you joining us this semester for your first residency. The low-residency graduate experience is pretty unique, and so we want to do our best to make sure you have all the tools you need.

Being a Graduate Student at Goucher

Success in graduate school is as much about attitude and perspective as it is about scholarship. For tips on how to succeed as a graduate student in a distance learning format, visit the technology orientation. You will need your Goucher credentials to login.

Everything you need for your first Residency

You will begin by meeting your program director, teachers, and fellow students face-to-face in the first of three invigorating, nine-day residencies. These residencies foster friendships and a network of colleagues that will carry you through graduate school and into your professional life. This link will lead you through the process.

While the residency serves as a central focal point of your graduate experience, your off-campus time in the program will be spent online. This means that having a handle on the various technological resources available to you is crucial. We recommend you get started with the Technology Orientation as soon as you can.
