The department is an integral part of Goucher’s liberal arts tradition. Students are encouraged to develop a sense of communication history and are provided with the means of mastering the grammar of our mass media. They are challenged to develop a critical view and ethical judgments about the most current media issues.
| Eric Green Awarded Erin Felarca Award The Department of Communication and Media Studies is very pleased to announce that Erica Green has been selected to receive the Erin Felarca ('05) Memorial Academic Achievement Award, an award generously provide by Erin's parents, Irene and David Pankey. This award is given annually to the graduating student who exemplifies exceptional academic achievement and a commitment to diversity issues.
