Making a Formal Disciplinary Complaint at Goucher
If you believe that you have witnessed or been a victim of sexual misconduct and want to make a formal complaint online, you may use the Formal Complaint of Sexual Misconduct, Relationship Violence, and Stalking to report the incident directly to the college administration.
If you wish to report in person, you may contact any of the following people:
- Bryan Coker, Dean of Students, 410-337-6150
- Lucia Perfetti Clark, Title IX Coordinator, 410-337-6570
What happens next:
Goucher takes all violations of its code of conduct seriously, and the entire process takes approximately two months (not including appeals) from the time the complaint was filed. Trained investigators from faculty and staff will conduct a thorough investigation, and the confidentiality of both the victim and the accused will be protected as much as possible.
Please be aware that Goucher’s policy and sanctions for sexual misconduct are currently under review, and this site will be updated as soon as it is finalized.
No one may retaliate against you for making a complaint of sexual misconduct. Threats, intimidation, and any form of retaliation for bringing a complaint are prohibited by the Policy on Sexual Misconduct, Relationship Violence, and Stalking and may be grounds for disciplinary action.
We recognize that in our due diligence to be fair to all parties involved, the process takes time. Please know that we encourage both the victim and the accused to seek support immediately, regardless of the outcome of the disciplinary procedures.
