About This Exhibit

This exhibit was made possible through funding from the Sally Gilger Barnes '46 Archival Endowment that promotes the use of the Goucher College Archives by students and scholars and advances the historical record of Goucher College for present and future generations. Named for Sally Gilger Barnes, a 40-year volunteer who dedicated her time to various areas of the college, most especially Special Collections & Archives, the endowment was established in 2008 through generous donations from Sally's family and friends.

In 2008, the first recipient of the Barnes Endowment, Scott Davis '10, was awarded a special collections internship to develop this exhibit that reflects the rich history of Goucher's Towson Campus buildings and serves as an ongoing resource for the Goucher and local communities.  As of August 2018, the Special Collections & Archives is in the process of updating the site to reflect more of the buildings on campus.
