M.A. in Arts Administration
The arts and cultural field is changing rapidly. Be part of leading those changes with a master's degree in arts administration. The M.A. in Arts Administration (M.A.A.A.) is practical and professional, and you will receive personal attention from our faculty of national arts leaders.
The M.A.A.A. at Goucher is focused on providing students with the tools they need to ensure that audiences are engaged, grants are funded, organizations are marketed, copyright regulations are followed, and nonprofits are in compliance with all regulations.
In the M.A.A.A. program you will learn from national arts leaders, develop a strong,
national network, be inspired by a community of mentors and peers and enhance your
career. This program is designed for those who want to learn while also working full
time. Our signature low-residency model features online coursework throughout the
year with an annual residency on campus for 9 days in July.
WHAT IS ARTS ADMINISTRATION?
Arts administration refers to all aspects of the management of arts and cultural organizations. Arts administrators work in the nonprofit, public (governmental), entrepreneurial, and for-profit sectors. The study of arts administration provides individuals with the knowledge, tools, and understanding to create, design, develop, lead, fund, evaluate, and advocate for arts and cultural programs, people, and organizations.
