Program Timeline

The M.F.A. in Digital Arts is a low-residency program, providing you with the flexibility to live and work anywhere in the world while you study at Goucher. Students and faculty gather on campus twice a year, in January and July, for week-long intensive residencies filled with visits from guest artists and speakers, specialized workshops, and visits to exhibitions and performances in Baltimore and Washington D.C.

During the fall and spring semesters you will work on-on-one with a faculty mentor, take online classes, and apply the concepts and techniques developed in your studies directly to your work.

You drive the pace of the program, taking as little as two years and as many as five to complete the degree. Many students are working artists, professionals, and educators, balancing their studies with family and work obligations. Goucher provides you with the support and mentorship to achieve your goals, wherever you are in life.
