M.A. in Digital Arts Program Timeline

The M.A. in Digital Arts can be completed fully online with the option to attend bi-annual on-campus residencies. Our rigorous 7-week online classes are taught by active artists and designers trained in best practices of online learning. Through multimedia online classrooms, you’ll engage in a dialogue with classmates and faculty as you develop your work.

Twice a year you will have the opportunity to travel to Goucher’s campus just outside of Baltimore to meet with classmates and faculty for week-long intensive residencies in a retreat-like setting. The residencies are full of workshops, lectures, site visits, and events with visiting artists. Also on campus during the residency are the M.A. programs in Cultural Sustainability, Arts Administration, Historic Preservation, and the M.F.A. in Nonfiction, creating ample opportunities for cross disciplinary dialogue. Much of the M.A. in Digital Arts curriculum is shared with the M.F.A. in Digital Arts.

Students can complete the degree within one and a half to five years.
