Dr. Choe’s Research Team Presents at the L. Starling Reid Undergraduate Psychology Research Conference

On Friday, April 21st, Dr. Choe’s Child Development Lab presented a poster at the 11th Annual L. Starling Reid Undergraduate Psychology Research Conference at University of Virginia (Charlottesville, VA).

The members of the team in attendance were Danielle Hallacker (’17), Leah Recasner (’18), Laurie Groshon (’19), Claire Pasquale (’17), and Sabrina Jiminez (’17). The poster they presented was titled, Moral Reasoning in Children: Understanding Conflicting Judgments in Ambiguous Situations. The students were awarded Goucher College Student Travel Grants to support conference and travel expenses.

Those who attended reported having positive experiences. As Danielle said, "The conference at the University of Virginia was a great experience for the Child Development Research Lab! Being able to present our poster in a smaller and more intimate setting allowed us to engage with other undergraduate students at the conference and explain in-depth the findings of our study!"

Leah also had great things to say about the experience: “We received a ton of positive feedback on our current study. I couldn't have asked to attend this conference with a better group of girls.”

The Center for Psychology is again very proud of the students who show great initiative in their endeavors with undergraduate research!
