Dr. Mileah Kromer holds a doctorate in political science from Louisiana State University (2008) and a bachelor of arts in economics from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (2003). She was formerly the assistant director of the Elon University Poll and a research associate at Louisiana State University's Public Policy Research Lab.

In her role as director of the Sarah T. Hughes Center for Politics, Kromer oversees every aspect of the Goucher College Poll, including survey instrument construction, sampling, and data analysis. 

She also coordinates the various student-centered activities of the Hughes Center.

Kromer is a frequent commentator on Maryland politics and has been quoted in The Washington Post, The Atlantic, NPR, and ABC News.  Her opinion writing has appeared in The Hill, CNN, The Washington Post, The Baltimore Sun, and Salon.
