Profile of Lindy Bobbitt
Lindy Bobbitt
Director of Residential Life
My name is Lindy and I am the Director of Residential Life. I am in my fourth year at Goucher and have enjoyed getting to know students, families and colleagues while working to find solutions that encourage comfort, growth and learning.
Hometown: Columbus, Ohio
Education: Bowling Green State University, B.S. in Education & M.A. in College Student Personnel
Pets: Two cats, Bill & Gordon who are fondly named after my past supervisors... and a dog,
Winslow, named after one of our very own residence halls!
Why Goucher? Goucher seems to be the perfect blend of intelligent and slightly eccentric people
that are passionate and committed to their work. I like being here because there
are so many opportunities for students and I appreciate the values seeded in a Liberal
Arts education. There are very few places like Goucher, which makes it a really special
community in which to be a part.
Guilty Pleasure: I made up this meal once called Ramen Noodle Meal (a 3-course meal made out of a
box of ramen) and sometimes still make it when I have the right ingredients (chicken
flavored ramen, cheese, chips and tortillas)... I also just really still love ramen
noodles which is probably something I was supposed to stop eating by now.
Favorite Spot on Campus: I love walking around the loop with students and other people that are important
to me. It is a wonderful walk and an opportunity to catch up with people, reflect
and enjoy the beauty of Goucher in every season. All of the Residential Life staff
live on-campus, so my cozy apartment that I call home is also at the top of my list.
Favorite Things about Baltimore: I love Baltimore. I have used the past (almost) four years to explore the offerings
of this wonderful city. Some favorites include: The Charles Theater, The NCR Trail,
The Walters Art Museum, Duckpin Bowling, hiking with Winslow at Loch Raven Reservoir
and Gunpowder Falls & monthly karaoke at the Lithuanian Dance Hall.
Fun Fact: I once ate at Chipotle for 100 weeks in a row.
