Assistant Director of Residential Life

My name is Lee Gerstein and I am the Assistant Director for the Office of Residential Life. While I began working at Goucher in 2014, I also attended the institution and graduated in 2007. In addition to my role in the Office of Residential Life, I also act as a resource/contact person for parents and/or family members of current Goucher students.

Hometown: Boca Raton, Florida

Education: Goucher College, B.A. in Sociology, University of Baltimore, M.S. in Negotiations and Conflict Management (Expected 2017)

Pets: Lucky (dog). BJ (dog), Earl (dog), Josie (cat), and Shrimpinton (ghost shrimp).

Why Goucher? I have a few reasons

1. Goucher's campus is absolutely beautiful, and I have to constantly pinch myself to remind myself that it isn't a dream that my office comes with 277 wooded acres of trails and green spaces.

2. Relationships: The entire community of Goucher is awesome, and the relationships with students and colleagues have really made coming to work a pleasure.

3. As a former student, having the ability to catch a meal in one of our dining halls is always a nostalgic treat.

Guilty Pleasure: Totino's pizza rolls (specifically the cheese variety), sushi from the rotating sushi bar in Towson (I go weekly), and watching professional wrestling.

Favorite Spot on Campus: The residential quad.

Favorite Things about Baltimore: Baltimore is awesome as it offers the amenities of a large city with the feel of a welcoming small town.

Fun Fact: I am a dual citizen.
