COVID-19 Alert Level: Yellow

Yellow is used when campus and regional infection rates are trending higher, or our isolation capacity decreases. The alert level may also be raised to Yellow during the first two weeks of a term as the community returns to campus, after breaks, and/or between terms. Campus operating status would be modified with mitigation efforts that may include:

  • Testing – Random surveillance testing of up to 10% of the student population weekly, regardless of vaccination status
  • Academic delivery – primarily in-person; however, hybrid and/or online options may be considered if conditions warrant
  • Library – Open only to the Goucher community, closed to the public
  • Employee Status – encourage remote work for non-essential staff and/or virtual meetings whenever possible
  • Housing – guest visitation may be restricted in the residence halls. The Office of Residential Life will provide specific details on all restrictions
  • Athletics – only Goucher community spectators allowed at indoor home contests; all spectators allowed at outdoor home contests
  • SRC/Recreation - the SRC is open to in-season student-athletes and academic classes only. Recreation classes online or outside
  • Campus events - campus events allowed with approved plans in place.
  • Travel – college-sponsored travel allowed with approval from divisional VP
