Campus Construction Update
Dear Goucher community,
As part of the Whiting-Turner construction project, we wanted to share upcoming impacts to pedestrian and vehicular traffic at the front of campus.
Today, construction crews will be finalizing their second access gate and asphalt apron to the Loop Road. They will use flaggers for traffic as they need to work in the road right-of-way. This will be completed today, and pedestrian access on the sidewalk will return to normal.
Starting this week, that gate will be used regularly throughout the day for entrances and exits. Whiting-Turner will use a gate technician to monitor the truck traffic and ensure safe entry/exit with campus vehicular and pedestrian traffic in the area.
Additionally, this week, a significant portion of the southern sidewalk along Dulaney Valley Road will be closed for the next month while WT installs utilities along the edge of the property.
In June and July, Southerly Road will be intermittently closed for tree and sewer utility work. Construction noise will also increase during this time.
We will continue to share updates as construction progresses. If you have any questions
or concerns, feel free to email campusoperations@goucher.edu.
