In 1988, the Alumni Association established the Ethel Cockey Award in honor of Miss Ethel Cockey, Class of 1923, who for 27 years served as the chief link between all Goucher alumnae/i and the College. The award is given annually to a member of a reunion class for outstanding leadership and volunteer service to the college and the Alumnae and Alumni of Goucher College (AAGC).
