Brownlee Sands Corrin Collection

This large and diverse collection of books and audiovisual materials was donated to the Goucher College library in the spring of 1985 by Mary Elizabeth Dyer Corrin (Goucher M.Ed., 1967), in memory of her husband, Brownlee Sands Corrin, longtime professor (1952-1985) of politics and communications at Goucher.

The collection enhances significantly the library's strengths in humor, show business, popular music, science fiction, advertising, campaign memorabilia, and politics and public affairs. Its variety suggests the breadth of professional and avocational interests Professor Corrin pursued throughout his 33 years at Goucher.

In addition to the thousands of items in the research collection, Mrs. Corrin most generously gave funds so that a professional part-time librarian could catalog the Corrin collection as well as serve in a more general capacity as Special Collections Librarian. Stephen S. Hahn was appointed to this position, 1985-1987.
