Kory Dodd is Goucher’s new media relations coordinator. Kory has spent the last four years working as a reporter for daily newspapers in Maryland and North Carolina. She graduated in 2003 with a B.A. in journalism and a citation in environmental studies from the University of Maryland’s Philip Merrill College of Journalism. She can often be seen in Baltimore trying to prevent her dog, Maggie Mae, from jumping on unsuspecting passers-by.

Kristen Keener is Goucher College's new director of media relations. Previously, Kristen spent nearly eight years with a Maryland daily newspaper as an editor of magazines, special supplements, and the weekly arts and entertainment edition. She feels confident her years in journalism will help prepare her to find interesting news stories and spread the word about Goucher College. She earned her bachelor of arts in literature and French at Washington College in Chestertown and feels very comfortable in a small, liberal arts college setting. In her spare time, Kristen eats a lot and then has to run a lot. She also enjoys traveling and reading.

Kate Pipkin is director of communications for Goucher College. For the past four and a half years she was director of communications for the mid-Atlantic region of the Jesuits, and for 10 years before that, Kate was director of communications for The Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing. She has written freelance articles for numerous national and local publications and has edited three magazines. Kate holds an undergraduate degree in English and World Literature and a master’s degree in Liberal Arts, both from The Johns Hopkins University.

Katherine F. Owen is a 2002 graduate of Goucher College and is thrilled to return as writer/editor in the Office of Communications. After completing a bachelor of art in English and theatre, Katherine taught middle school, worked in the education department at the Baltimore Symphony, edited technical reports for the Army Research Laboratory, and earned a master of science degree in professional writing from Towson University (just not all at the same time). Among her favorite activities are writing and editing (of course), running, reading, practicing piano, and taking her pups on long walks.

Jim Sheehan has worked as an actor, scenic carpenter, exhibit designer, advertising copywriter, and playwriting instructor. He earned a master of fine arts degree in playwriting from Catholic University, and his plays have been produced in New York, Washington, D.C., and Baltimore. He recently wrote the libretto for Goucher music professor Kendall Kennison¹s opera, The Window Seat, which premiered here in Merrick Hall in May 2006.

Greg Wilkin is the director of design and production services and has been with Goucher College since 2001. He has held a variety of creative positions in his career serving as an art director for several major publishing companies, including: Random House, Penguin Books, and Dell Publishing. He was the publications director for the University of Maine and most recently worked as a creative director for an Internet start-up company in Philadelphia. Greg earned his bachelor's degree in Fine Art from Wilmington College in Wilmington, Ohio and did extensive postgraduate work at Akron University. Greg is also a professional artist whose work is shown at the Frank Miele Gallery in New York City.
