Athletes in-season, international students and students in approved Goucher programs are permitted to reside on-campus during breaks. Any resident who resides on campus during any portion of a break must be authorized at least one week in advance. Overnight guests are not permitted during times when the residence halls are otherwise closed. In cases of academic conflicts or a college-related need, exceptions are considered but not guaranteed. Any student who receives an extension that is not academically related or sponsored by an authorized campus group will pay $35 a night charge not to exceed a maximum of $150. The Office of Community Living discourages such extensions and strongly encourages residents to depart from and arrive on-campus according to the college calendar.
