Medical Housing Assignments

A student who believes that he/she has a medical need for a particular room assignment must come to the Office of Community Living to pick up a medical documentation packet. This packet must be filled out by the student's health care practitioner for the student to be considered for a medical exception. Depending on the nature of the student's situation, documentation should be submitted to the Student Health and Counseling Services (for medical or psychiatric issues) or to Dr. Frona Brown (for documented learning disabilities). These offices will make a decision as to whether special housing accomodations should be offered. Medical assignments must be approved each year. Returning students should pay careful attention to the housing information distributed each spring regarding the assignment process and deadlines for requests. Individuals who make late or new requests after the published deadlines will be placed on a special medical wait list and will be assigned when and if space becomes available. For further details, please contact the Health and Counseling Center.

Students can download a medical housing application packet below. Applications for the 2009-2010 school year are due to the Health and Counseling Center (medical/psychiatric) or to Dr Frona Brown (documented learning disabilities) by Friday March 20th, 2009 at 5pm.
