Premedical Studies

The Premedical Studies Program prepares students for entry into medical, dental, veterinary, or other health-related graduate programs. The program provides guidance and support for students wishing to pursue these professional programs.

MCAT REVIEW: Wednesdays with Craig Hirsch (ex 6203), 11:30-12:20, G59

Wednesday, September 5, 11:30-12:20, Hoffberger G59, First MCAT Class: Orientation to the MCAT with Craig.

Friday, September 7th, 3:45-5:15 p.m., Kelley Lecture Hall, Practice MCAT: Verbal Section.

During September and October you need to meet individually with the premedical advisor, Dr. George Delahunty to review your record with regard to applying to professional school.

Monday, October 1, 11:30-12:20, G59, Visit from Dr. Cheryl Hanau, Associate Dean for Admission, Drexel University College of Medicine.

Wednesday, October 10, 7-8:30 p.m., Kelley Lecture Hall, Dr. Josh Sharfstein, the Health Commissioner for the City of Baltimore, to talk about his path to becoming commissioner and some of the challenges he faces in his current position.

Monday, October 22, 11:30-12:20, G59, Sergeant Robert Moffett, Representative from the military to talk about health care scholarships for medical school.

Monday, November 5, 11:30-12:20, G59, Michelle Corbin, Representative from the National Health Service Corps to present information about scholarship opportunities for medical students.

Monday, November 26 – 11:30-12:20, G59, Hermione Hicks, Assistant Dean of Admission, Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, to talk about Hopkins and the admissions process .

December 15-January 28--Winter Break! (study time for the MCAT or an internship in a hospital…)
