Staff Assistants
Staff Assistant responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provide lunch-hour office coverage to the Office of Student Engagement at least once a week
- Participate in office coverage, including reception and telephone tasks, whenever in the office
- Be knowledgeable on event planning procedures and assist students, faculty, staff, and visitors as needed
- Maintain high standards of customer service as a part of the position
- Assist professional staff members with special projects, as needed
- Provide clerical assistance, including but not limited to copying, filing, faxing, supply inventory and mailing preparation, etc., to the professional staff members within OSE
- Maintain and update the events.goucher.edu calendar for all student-run programs on a regular basis
- Maintain a calendar of weekly events, including those hosted by clubs, OSE, Programming Board, etc.
- Attend Senate meetings to ensure that members are aware of all upcoming events
- Assist the Student Government Association with copying and organizing paperwork as needed
- Do rounds of campus bulletin boards at least once a week to take down expired postings
- Input information into the digital signage around campus to update the community about events at least twice a week
- Post informational flyers on the bulletin boards within the campus buildings as needed
- Assist the Associate Dean of Student Engagement in managing the administrative aspects of the Connections program
- Assist the Associate Dean of Student Engagement in managing the administrative aspects of the Donnybrook publication
