House Council

Contact: Angelica Daniele

House Council, Goucher's residence hall association is composed of the presidents and vice presidents of all 15 houses on campus. These representatives are elected each year by residents of each house. Members of House Council meet once a week to discuss the issues relating to residential living and to propose legislation. House Council serves as the liaison between resident students, the Student Government Association, and the Goucher administration. House Council sets residence hall policy and works with the resident assistants to enforce this policy. In addition, House Council strives to better the social environment on campus by planning many events such as Pumpkin Bowl, At Your Service, and GIG (Get Into Goucher). Along with campus-wide programming, each house plans and coordinates its own activities to bring the house closer as a community.
