The Music Minor

The music minor is divided into lower-level requirements and upper-level options. At the lower level, a solid grounding is provided in the three primary components of the subject: music history (musicology), music theory/composition, and performance.

Lower-level requirements:
MUS 105

Three credits from MUS 160-188
Two-semester ensemble participation (on either a credit or audit basis) from MUS 140-149.

Upper-level requirements:
Students select one course each from two of the three groups of courses:
