E-mail Alias

To supplement your current e-mail address, the college has created an e-mail alias for you.  This new e-mail alias consists of:
  1. First Name
  2. .
  3. Last Name
  4. Integer Suffix (starting with 1 if required)
  5. @goucher.edu
NOTE:
  1. Hyphens, periods, spaces, or a suffix in a last name will not be included in the e-mail address
  2. Remember your current e-mail address does not change.  People inside and outside of the Goucher community can send e-mail to you using your regular e-mail address or your e-mail alias.

To find your e-mail alias, follow these instructions:

  1. In Outlook, click on the Tools menu.
  2. Select Address Book.
  3. Start typing in your last name in the Type Name or Select from List field and then double-click on your name to bring up a dialog box with your information.
  4. Click on the E-mail Addresses tab to view your new e-mail alias.  In the window there will be three fields.  Your new e-mail alias will be in the smtp: (all lower case) field.
  5. Click OK to close and you’ll return back to the Address Book.
