Library Resources

The Goucher College Julia Rogers Library provides students, faculty, and staff with access to web based library and research resources:

  1. Julia Rogers Library Web Site
The library’s web site provides information on resources plus services such as research assistance, instruction, acquisitions, and interlibrary loans.

  2. Julia Rogers Library Catalog
This web-based catalog includes descriptions of most of the library’s holdings, its items on reserve, and private access to each library-user’s record.

  3. Julia Rogers Online Databases and Journals
The college community has web-based access to the full text of thousands of journals and books through the library’s subscriptions to more than 80 databases.

  4. Baltimore Area and Other Library Catalogs
The Goucher community has access to a mega-catalog called WorldCat which includes the holdings of nearly every library in the country!  WorldCat works wonderfully for the researcher in conjunction with web-based catalogs from the University System of Maryland (USM) Libraries, Baltimore Academic Libraries Consortium (BALC), Maryland Independent Colleges and Universities (MICUA), and Maryland’s public libraries.

  5. RefWorks
RefWorks is a web-based bibliography and database manager that allows you to create your own personal database by importing references from text files or online databases. With RefWorks, you can use these references in writing your papers and format your bibliography in seconds.

  6. The Center for Teaching, Learning, and Technology
Center for Teaching, Learning, and Technology (CTLT), located in the Julia Rogers Library, provides an interactive environment dedicated to excellence in teaching and learning for faculty, staff, and students.
