Transportation Information

One 7 passenger and one 5 passenger vehicle are available through service-learning. To reserve a vehicle, contact Lucy Wurzbacher at x6167 or lwurzbac@goucher.edu.  Please specify date(s)/time(s), destination and vehicle preference.

All faculty, staff, or students who drive a College-owned or -leased van must complete driver-safety training. Vehicle training is now available online. No longer will individuals be required to sit in a classroom, or modify their schedule to take vehicle training in a classroom setting. Online training is available for individuals to take at their leisure, from their computer, 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Each training module lasts approximately 1 hour.

For more information, click the appropriate link for transportation policies or transportation training.

Instructors: Please contact Calvin Gladden to confirm that the individual who will be driving the vehicle has completed the training. Individual driving record checks are also required, valid only with the actual driver’s original signature.

Note: Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Georgia, Michigan, New Hampshire, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington and West Virginia do not permit the acquisition of individual driving records by anyone other than the individual license holder. See this website for information about obtaining your driving record from these states.

If you use your vehicle to drive yourself or car pool to a service-learning related activity, remember to keep track of the mileage.

Alternate sources of transportation are available, but must be pre-approved by Professor Koulish.

For mileage reimbursement or other transportation information, contact the Office of Service-Learning.
