Economics Major Receives Prestigious National Award
Economics major Kelley Moran, Class of 2011, received the American Mathematical Society/American Statistical Association Award for her talk entitled “Modeling Gastric Emptying” at MathFest, the national summer meeting of the Mathematical Association of America in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The project was part of Dr. Gretchen A. Koch’s biomathematics research program. Kelley presented her work in the Pi Mu Epsilon Student Paper Sessions and previously presented her work at the Landmark Conference at Juniata College.
