Professional, Teaching and Research Interests
Professor Patrick has co-authored an article which appeared in the book, Social Psychology: Handbook of Basic Principles. He has also published articles in Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, and Journal of Experimental Education. His courses include Social Psychology; Lifespan Developmental Psychology; Personality Theory; Human Motivation and Emotion; Intrinsic Motivation and Self-Determination; and Frontiers: Redefining Education. Professor Patrick’s research interests include the facilitation of intrinsic motivation in the academic domain, connection and disconnection experiences in school, and working models of student-teacher relationships.
