Because your OneCard contains so much vital information, it is very important that you take every precaution to prevent it from being damaged, lost, or stolen. There is a $15 fee to replace your lost card. Photo identification (preferably government issued) will be required to provide a new or replacement OneCard.
Never give your card to anyone. If you lose your card, report it immediately to the Office of Public Safety at 410-337-6112.
If your OneCard fails to work for any reason, please take it to the Office of Public Safety in Heubeck Hall. If we can’t fix the problem, we’ll provide you with a new card. There is a $15 fee to replace your card.
We will not charge you to replace your card under the following circumstances:
Never punch a hole in your OneCard (for a lanyard?). There is a magstripe on the rear of the card, and a computer chip embedded in the OneCard which activates the proximity reader door access system. Punching a hole in your OneCard could damage the magstripe or the chip, rendering your OneCard useless. If this occurs, it will require you to replace the OneCard at your cost.
