Newhouse Graduate Newspaper Fellowship Program

This program aims to attract members of the minority community with truly outstanding qualifications and the potential to make significant contributions to the field of newspaper journalism and increase the number of minority journalists in the country.  Included in the award are

Free tuition for master's level study in newspaper journalism at Syracuse University's Newhouse School.
Part-time reporting and editing student internships in Syracuse at The Post-Standard during graduate school.
$1,400 monthly stipend.
Health Insurance coverage
Moving expenses to Syracuse up to $1,500
Travel expenses to professional conferences up to $800
Academic expenses up to $1.000
Full-time paid professional internship after graduation for one year.
