Peirce Center Student Fellowships
Peirce Fellowships are designed to provide the opportunity for an in-depth research project that takes advantage of the rich resources in Special Collections & Archives at the Goucher library. It is expected that each fellowship will result in a tangible product, such as a research paper, website, short story, documentary, finding aid or poetry collection, which will enhance the understanding of some part of the collection. Peirce Fellows will be invited to give a presentation about their project at the annual spring Peirce Colloquium.
Brooke and Carol Peirce shared a deep love of the humanities and the arts. They sought to bring literature, history, drama and poetry alive to their students and to deepen the students’ creative and curious minds. In this spirit please submit a brief description of your proposed project on an attached piece of paper. Be sure to include what sparked your interest and led you to apply, as well as your intended end product.
Prior to application, you are strongly urged to make an appointment to discuss your interests with SC&A staff who will be able to tell you more about the collections available.
