Tips for Successful Video Viewing Assignments

Planning

Whenever possible, make sure that the video assigned is available in DVD format and is part of the Goucher library collection

Depending on the size of your class:

  • Create your assignment based on hosting a viewing outside of class hours (contact Events and Conference Services to reserve an appropriate location: pubevents@goucher.edu). Instructor must be present.
  • Create your assignment based on individual student viewing by placing video on reserve (contact Goucher Library: http://www.goucher.edu/x33461.xml)
  • Develop realistic timelines that will allow students to obtain and watch video prior to class discussion

Sharing expectations with students
