Getting Involved

Find at least one way to get involved outside of the classroom.

Attend Social Events: Goucher provides a variety of free and inexpensive social events, including sporting events, lectures and performances.

Working on Campus: Cut down on commuting time, find a “home” on campus, and earn money all at the same time.  Visit the Career Development Office for more information.

Clubs and Organizations: Stop by the Office of Student Engagement for a list of clubs and organizations on campus.  You are not limited by what already exists.  If you have a good idea, stop by to talk about starting a new club!

“Club Rush”: Held at the beginning of each semester, be sure to attend this event that highlights student clubs and organizations and other ways to get involved on campus.

Community Service: Discover the many opportunities to learn and serve your community by joining (CAUSE) Community Auxiliary for Service.

Sports and Recreation: A wide variety of recreational activities are available through the Physical Education, Recreation, and Athletics Department.  See the Campus Handbook for more information.
