Borrowing Materials
All materials must be checked out at the Service Desk. Patrons must present their Goucher ID cards or library-issued borrowing card. Borrowers are cautioned not to allow others to use their cards, because the owner of the card will be responsible for all transactions and fees charged to it.

Everyone is welcome to use the library and its resources but in order to check out materials, you must be one of the following:

  • Current Goucher student, faculty (including emeriti), staff
  • Goucher alumna/us
  • Friends of the Goucher College Library
  • Baltimore Academic Library Consortium (BALC) whose members are Goucher College, McDaniel College, Towson University, Stevenson University, Morgan State University, MICA, Loyola/Notre Dame, University of Baltimore, and UMBC. We also have reciprocal borrowing privilege arrangements with several Maryland Independent Colleges and Universities Association (MICUA) libraries: Hood College, Mount St. Mary's University, Washington College, and Washington Adventist University.
