Goucher prioritizes making study abroad an affordable and unforgettable experience for all students. Below, you will find specific costs for each Goucher Semester Study Abroad Program. Due to the ranging circumstances that can change the costs of both on- and off-campus study, students should always check with the Office of International Studies and, in some cases, program partners for the most up-to-date costs of study abroad.
Please refer to the OIS "How Much Will It Cost and How It Gets Paid For" web site for information about the transfer of financial aid for Goucher programs.
Students planning to attend Approved Non-Goucher Semester Programs should check with programs and speak with Goucher's Office of Student Financial Aid to determine if any aid will transfer.
This page is current for Fall 2009 programs.

Goucher Semester Study Abroad Credit and Pricing Policy
Goucher semester abroad programs are administered by the Office of International Studies or by other institutions or organizations through Memoranda of Understanding with Goucher. All Goucher programs are thoroughly reviewed by the Office of International Studies.
When students participate in one of our Goucher semester abroad programs they:
1) remain fully registered at Goucher while abroad,
2) receive Goucher credit for courses taken,
3) take their financial aid and/or Goucher scholarships with them.
Since students are fully enrolled at Goucher College and receive Goucher credit while abroad, they pay regular Goucher tuition for any Goucher semester abroad program. This payment is regardless of the cost advertised and charged by the program itself. Students pay non-academic costs (i.e. room and board) in part or in full to Goucher or directly to the study abroad organization or overseas institution depending on the program.
Please see our Goucher semester programs list for an up-to-date list of charges for specific programs. This policy provides our students with study abroad opportunities on the same basis that they attend Goucher. It allows our students to make regular progress toward their degree and to carry their financial aid and scholarships with them. It also gives Goucher College and the Office of International Studies the opportunity to exercise greater oversight of the study abroad experience and to better advise students planning to go abroad. This ensures that the study abroad experience of an undergraduate is commensurate with the quality of education s/he is receiving at Goucher.
