Fred Mauk has been associate dean for graduate and professional studies since 2001.  He is also a professor of music and for many years taught the series of music history courses in the music department.  He came to Goucher in 1983 to chair the department and held that position until 2000.  Among his current projects, he is preparing the Chopin Études, Opp. 10 and 25, for performance.
