Born in Nazareth, Zahi Khamis has been living, studying, and teaching in the United States for two decades.  Zahi taught Mathematics in public schools for fifteen years, and taught both Arabic language and English Composition at the Community College of Baltimore County.  An accomplished painter, Zahi's work has appeared in numerous solo and group exhibits, including shows at the United Nations, The Palestine Center (Washington D.C) and the Carnegie Institute for Peace. His art, poetry translations, and essays have been published in a variety of magazines and literary journals.
