Senior HVAC/R Technician

Goucher College is seeking a full-time Senior HVAC/R Technician. This is a highly customer service oriented position in the Facilities Management Department. Primary responsibilities will be to independently repair, maintain, and install industrial HVAC/R equipment such as boilers, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, air handlers, exhaust fans, fume hoods, water heaters, walk-in coolers and freezers, ice machines, and pneumatic, electric and direct digital control systems. Applicant must be capable of troubleshooting malfunctioning equipment from building blueprints and system diagrams. The successful candidate will be capable of working independently with minimal supervision. Qualified applicants will have a high school diploma and will have completed a formal HVAC/R trade school program. In addition, candidates should have a minimum 5 years HVAC/R experience in an industrial setting, refrigerant recovery certificate and current MD Journeyman’s HVAC license (Master’s preferred). A valid driver’s license which meets the requirements of Goucher College’s vehicle policy is required. The successful candidate will be subject to a background check as a condition of employment.
