The Global Financial Crisis: Who, What, Where, Why, and How

November 10, 2008 |

Around the world, stock markets have fallen; large financial institutions have collapsed or been bought out; and governments in even the wealthiest nations have had to come up with rescue packages to bail out their financial systems.

Goucher College will hold a panel discussion titled “The Global Financial Crisis: Who, What, Where, Why, and How” to try to unearth the causes and culprits behind this fiscal meltdown. This event will be held Monday, November 10, at 7:30 p.m. in Buchner Hall of Goucher College’s Alumnae/i House. It is free and open to the public.

Goucher President Sanford J. Ungar will moderate a discussion among these panelists:

Jack Carter, Assistant Professor of Economics, Goucher College

Stephen Kroll, P’11, Former Democratic Special Counsel, U.S. Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs, and current Scholar-in-Residence, American University School of International Service

Jonathan Miller, Professional Staff Member, U.S. Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs

Phoebe Mix, P’09, Attorney, U.S. Congress Joint Committee on Taxation
