Virtual Private Network (VPN)

If you are using an off-campus computer connected to an Internet Service Provider (ISP) through a cable modem or a Digital Subscriber Line (DSL), Virtual Private Network (VPN) access allows you to log in to the Goucher Network and access campus computing resources in a secure fashion over the Internet.

Steps for using Virtual Private Network (VPN) Access

  1. Create settings and an icon on your computer for a Virtual Private Network (VPN) connection to Goucher
  2. Connect to your Internet Service Provider (ISP) through a cable modem or a Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) connection.
  3. Click on the VPN icon to connect your computer to Goucher through the VPN connection.
  4. Access files and documents in your personal network folder on the Darwin computing system.
  5. Access files and documents in your personal or departmental network folders on the Magellan computing system.
  6. Access files, documents, and web pages in your personal web page network folder on the Meyerhoff computing system.
