Article Abstract: Goucher College President Sanford J. Ungar discusses why more than 100 college and university presidents nationwide are calling for a serious discussion about whether the 21 drinking age is working and whether it reflects young peoples’ realities.

Lead: A Montgomery County State Delegate is calling on higher education officials in Maryland to withdraw their support of an initiative that calls for the drinking age to be lowered from 21 to 18.
