Associate Director of Alumnae/i Affairs for Programming Reporting to the Executive Director of Alumnae/i Affairs, the Associate Director of Alumnae/i Affairs for Programming will develop, organize, and execute an innovative and comprehensive plan of programming to engage alumnae/i, parents, and friends of Goucher College, with a special focus on those located in the Baltimore, DC, and Annapolis areas. Through strategic coordination with various campus constituencies (admissions, career development, annual fund, graduate programs), the director will create programs that focus on lifelong learning, career networking, and community service in an effort to connect alumnae/i to one another and increase their affinity to and support of Goucher College. This position will also coordinate Internet and other electronic forms of communication to foster connections among alumnae/i and between the college and alumnae/i.
Bachelor’s degree required, with Master’s degree and 5-7 years experience in higher education or a related field preferred. Knowledge and appreciation of the liberal arts experience, significant volunteer management, proficiency with social networking tools (such as Facebook and Linked In), and event planning experience are also required. Experience in administering content management software and an online community preferred. The successful candidate will possess demonstrated written, verbal, and Internet communication skills; professional maturity; and strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
