Reason #2:

Goucher science and mathematics students work closely with faculty mentors on stimulating research projects during the academic year and/or in the summer months. Opportunities for in-depth research are an essential part of the sciences at Goucher College.


These collaborations frequently result in published articles with students as co-authors and/or presentations at regional or national meetings.

 


Joel Tenebaum presented his physics research with faculty collaborator Professor Sasha Dukan to members of Congress on Capitol Hill at the Council on Undergraduate Research’s annual “Posters on the Hill event.

 


Molly Abend worked with Dr. Thomas Ghirardelli on visual attention and presented their research at the 2007 Annual Eastern Psychological Association.
