Goucher College once again will take part in Relay For Life, an overnight event that raises money and awareness to support the American Cancer Society. On Saturday, April 12, and Sunday, April 13, 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., teams of Goucher students, faculty, and staff will take turns walking or running laps in the “old gym” in the Sports and Recreation Center.
The world's largest fundraising walk, Relay For Life raised more than $405 million last year.
All members of the Goucher community, as well as their families and other members of the community, are encouraged to participate. To register for a team or learn more about the event, go to http://events.cancer.org/rflgoucher or contact Kate Maskarinec at kate.maskarinec@goucher.edu.
Relay For Life volunteers and donors gather to honor cancer survivors; pay tribute to the lives that have been lost to the disease; and help support research, education, advocacy, and services that allow the American Cancer Society to help people in the nearby communities and nationwide.
