Community Living Coordinator / Gopher Hole Manager

Goucher College, located on a 300-acre campus in metropolitan Baltimore, is a private, co-educational, residential, liberal arts institution with approximately 1500 undergraduate students. Goucher is seeking an innovative and dynamic professional to join the community living team and to contribute to student learning and development. We invite applications and nominations for the position of Community Living Coordinator/Gopher Hole Manager.

The Community Living Coordinator / Gopher Hole Manager is a full-time, 12-month, live-in position, whose primary responsibilities include training and supervising Community Assistants, maintaining the administration of residence halls, and the daily operation of the Gopher Hole coffee house, a late night snack bar and programming space open seven days a week. This position reports jointly to the Director of Community Living and the Director of Student Activities.

Minimum qualifications for this position include a Bachelor’s degree and experience in residence life and/or campus programming. A Master’s degree and experience in student staff supervision, programming, diversity initiatives, and conduct hearing administration is preferred. Strong leadership, advising, and administrative skills are also necessary. Compensation for this position includes a competitive salary, an unfurnished apartment, and a partial meal plan. Anticipated start date - July 1, 2008.
