Financial Aid Specialist
Goucher College is seeking a full-time, support staff employee to serve as the first contact point in the Office of Student Financial Aid. The successful candidate will meet with prospective and current families and students on a walk-in basis, advise these constituents on the financial aid process and financing options, as well as handle all forms of contact including phone, fax, mail, and email for incoming and outgoing information. Other responsibilities include assisting in the editing of financial aid publications, loan certification, scholarship posting, maintenance of area policies and procedures, and representing Goucher at on- and off-campus events. Qualified candidates will be able to demonstrate strong computer skills, possess excellent customer service, telephone skills, and an attention to detail. Preference will be given to those candidates with a Bachelor’s degree, knowledge of student aid programs, and the ability to learn new systems quickly (Powerfaids, SCT Powercampus).
