The Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993 gives employees certain rights to take unpaid family or medical leaves of absence from their employment to care for family members who are ill or because of their own serious medical conditions which may prevent them from performing their job duties. Your rights under the Act, and the procedures you must follow in order to obtain leave, are described in the College’s Family and Medical Leave Policy.
The Policy is located in the College’s Public Folders\All Public Folders\Campus Resources\Human Resources\Policies and Procedures or you can download the policy by clicking on the link below. Questions about the policy should be directed to your supervisor and/or the Department of Human Resources.
