FASTS: Frequently Asked Questions

What is a PIN?

Your Personal Identification Number.

How do I get a PIN?

PINS are automatically assigned by PowerFAIDS and will be mailed to you separately.

What if I forget or lose my PIN?

Use the Request PIN by email option on the FASTS login screen.

Can my PIN be changed?

No.  PINS are determined automatically by the system.  We do not have the option of assigning PINS.

What should I do if I enter my SSN and PIN and nothing happens?

Logout and logon again.  If problem recurs, contact the Office of Student Financial Aid at 410-337-6141 or at finaid@goucher.edu.

What if I do not have a social security number?

If you do not have a social security number you can log onto FASTS by entering a 99 in front of your Goucher identification number in social security number field.

How often is the system updated?

The system is real time.  However, please allow time for the Office of Student Financial Aid to process the documents you submit.

Can I contact Financial Aid through FASTS?

Yes. On each screen the help button located at the top of the page next to the logout button, will link you directly to our email address and telephone number.

Where can I get the forms listed on the Documents tab?

You may download forms from the “Document” tab or by selecting the “Forms” tab.  You may also find documents on the financial aid website in the forms section.

I have additional resources that are not shown on the Awards tab.  What should I do?

Write a letter or email the information to finaid@goucher.edu.
