Goucher Hosts College Goal Sunday

On February 10, Goucher College will host its fourth College Goal Sunday, an annual event designed to give prospective students and their families the opportunity to speak directly with financial aid professionals and get free help completing the forms required by colleges, universities, and private career schools to qualify for scholarships, grants, and loans.

College Goal Sunday will take place from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in Van Meter Hall on Goucher’s Towson campus. For directions to the college and a campus map, go to  www.goucher.edu/x4643.xml. Students attending College Goal Sunday must bring proof of 2007 income and benefits information, such as completed IRS federal income tax returns and W2 forms or proof of untaxed income for the student and parents/guardians. Students younger than 24 should attend with a parent or guardian. A Spanish interpreter will be on site, and FAFSA on the Web will be available.

The event also will take place at various times and dates at locations across Maryland, Delaware, and Washington, D.C. Sites in Maryland will be located in Allegany, Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Charles, Frederick, Garrett, Harford, Montgomery, and Wicomico counties, as well as in Baltimore City. College Goal Sunday, a nonprofit program, is a collaboration sponsored by the DE-DC-MD Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators Inc. The program is funded through grants issued by USA Funds, the Lumina Foundation for Education, American Education Services, American Student Assistance, and EdFund.
