Coffee House Manager

Goucher College seeks a part-time “Gopher Hole” Coffee House Manager that reports to the Director of Student Activities and is an integral part of the Student Activities staff. Responsibilities for managing the daily operations of a student staffed late-night coffee house include but are not limited to: staff supervision; inventory management and sales tracking; maintaining health and safety guidelines for food service; planning a calendar of events including weekend programming, monthly pub nights, and student-run events; and facilitating necessary improvements to the the physical space, menu, and service.

Requirements include significant experience in a food service environment; experience in supervising staff; event planning experience; the flexibility to work in an active student environment; a willingness to work irregular hours including coverage for many evening and weekend programs; an ability to work collaboratively with all members of the college community; excellent oral and written communication skills. Educational background in business, restaurant or hospitality management or related area preferred.
