It’s no secret that today’s college prospects are incredibly tech-savvy—and that it’s often an institution’s website that becomes a firsthand and formative source of information in their college searches.
On Wednesday, February 15, Goucher College will launch a new website that will offer a vastly improved browsing experience for college-seekers, as well as for current students, parents, alumnae/i, faculty, and staff. The new site—which can be found at www.goucher.edu—will reflect the vibrant visual appeal of the college’s print publications, and its improved navigation means users will always be just a click or two away from key information and practical applications.
More than a year in the making, Goucher’s new site will provide users with up-to-the-minute news features and dynamic multimedia content via a variety of cutting-edge techniques and technology, including:
Goucher’s new website will be a flagship communications vehicle for prospective students. Streamlined navigation will make it easy for college-seekers to find information about admissions, financial aid, majors, study abroad, and student life both on campus and around Baltimore. An online application makes it easy to start the admissions process.
And with the overhauled organization of the site, including separate menus for current students, prospective students, parents, and alumnae/i, all users will be able to navigate the site easily to find information that pertains specifically to them—including campus events, application deadlines, and information about giving to Goucher.
A public event to celebrate the website’s launch will be held Wednesday, February 22 at 3:30 p.m. at the college’s Heubeck Multipurpose Room A. There will be a presentation of the new site’s features, and light refreshments will be served. For a sneak preview of the site, please see http://meyerhoff.goucher.edu/flash/trailer1.html.
